Default A/? Black Shattering Assualt

This bar can be played in any area of the game. It works better in some areas then others.

dagger=12+1
critical=10+1+1
deadly=8+1

[skill]Black Lotus Strike[/skill][skill]Shattering Assault[/skill][skill]Black Spider Strike[/skill][skill]Horns of the Ox[/skill][skill]Impale[/skill][skill]Siphon Speed[/skill][skill]Expose Defenses[/skill][skill]Resurrection Signet[/skill]

How It Works:

Pick your target (preferably a soft target with an enchantment or a monk). Cast Siphon Speed then begin the combo Black Lotus-Shattering Assault-Black Spider-Horns-Impale. If your target uses Aegis, Guardian, or any form of blocking use Expose Defenses and continue the combo. If your enemy is not dead wait for the combo to recharge then try it again if it does not kill them the 1st time.

You have to be careful with this build as it has no self-heal. So be very careful when you don't have a healer so watch yourself and the compass to take note of where you are and your enemy.

Priority Targets:
Mesmers
Monks
Elementalists
Necromancers

The priority targets are the targets you want to take down 1st. If there are none of these pick a target and stay on them.

Variants:

Variant1:
dagger=12+1
critical=10+1+1
deadly=6+1
shadow=6+1
[skill]Black Lotus Strike[/skill][skill]Shattering Assault[/skill][skill]Black Spider Strike[/skill][skill]Twisting Fangs[/skill][skill]Shadow Refuge[/skill][skill]Shadowy Burden[/skill][skill]Expose Defenses[/skill][skill]Resurrection Signet[/skill]

Variant2:
dagger=12+1
critical=10+1+1
deadly=8+1
[skill]Black Lotus Strike[/skill][skill]Shattering Assault[/skill][skill]Black Spider Strike[/skill][skill]Twisting Fangs[/skill][skill]Shadow Walk[/skill][skill]Siphon Speed[/skill][skill]Expose Defenses[/skill][skill]Resurrection Signet[/skill]

Variant3:
dagger=12+1
critical=10+1+1
deadly=8+1
[skill]Black Lotus Strike[/skill][skill]Shattering Assault[/skill][skill]Black Spider Strike[/skill][skill]Twisting Fangs[/skill][skill]Flurry[/skill][skill]Siphon Speed[/skill][skill]Expose Defenses[/skill][skill]Resurrection Signet[/skill]

***NOTE- THIS IS NOT A SPIKE BUILD IT IS MORE OF A PRESSURE BUILD.

Edit 1: Fixed attributes (helps if I have the right armor on).
Edit 2: Couple of variants.

not bad

possibly replace horns and impale with twisting fangs and free up a slot for a heal?

I like Horns -> Impale because of the kd. If you put in TF, I'd prefer to go with a shadow step or something like recall instead of the heal.

Also, isn't that the downfall of the pve sin? People trying to treat it as a pressure dealer instead of a spiker, isn't that how you get yourself targeted and killed in pve?

Edit: If this is for RA, I like the kd over tf and lose a hex to include a shadow step/heal. Plus a sin hex without a shadow step is just asking for trouble. If this is for AB, losing the res is so nice.

Good players don't need a shadowstep.

Good players without a self heal do. The moment you run up to a 60AL and try to cast siphon/expose another sin will jump you and make fish bait out of you -_-

You could do this and it adds bleeding and would allow a shadow step or a heal.

Do the Combo once and run away? I have no problems with taking damage because of a minion master every group has one now days. Normally the minions take the most damage.

I will play around and post a few variants with the suggestions. Might have to tweak the attributes for some of them but they should work.

That's why you wait until that other assassin is occupied before you move in.

Maybe not, but they are handy.

Edit: If you're gonna use Shadow Walk, bring a second stance to control the return.

At a 4 second recharge, on a pressure build shattering assault is really the only dual attack you need imo. So maybe something like -

burden, shattering, bss, bls, impale, self heal, utility, res

I like the variant 2, except I would take out Shadow Walk for Recall, or take out Rez for Dash in GvG/AB.

Also, imo, a sin without mobility, is a warrior with 70 armor.

So a warrior can apply bleeding, poison, deep wound, have multiple knockdowns plus lots of armour ignoring damage in one skillbar?

You should try a hammer warrior, there is a reason why almost every top 50 guilds have a hammer warrior and a eviscerate/cripslash warrior in their team. Hammer warriors have one of the strongest, if not the best spike in the game, however, they have to gather adrenaline, another reason that differs from sins. However, if you are waiting for another sin to get occupied, it's a similar thing to a warrior who is in the front line fighting constantly gathering up adrenaline, then again, you got a monk to cover you in case you get attacked from a sin. Only a few guilds, Reno (one of my favorite guild) for example, use sins, and with a shadowstep.

However, if we are talking about RA, then forget most of the things I have said.

Personally I like to use shadowsteps a lot, I was just trying to point out you don't have to have them. I'd say warriors are used mostly because they don't need attack skills to be a nuisance, they can build up adrenaline and then spike a different target. Assassins are more predictable in that sense.

And yeah I agree hammers warriors do hurt a lot
Just a question, how do I use the skill icons on this forum?

you can lower your deadly in all those builds. the hex only needs to last long enough for both black attacks to hit. 5 or 6 seconds is plenty.
